I am Marius Strolia.
Welcome to my creative world! Thank you for your interest in my work!
I have been on the path of art for 27 years. During this journey, using various means of artistic expression, I have been constantly discussing the environment around me and the various experiences dictated by its changes. I strive to constantly update my artistic language as life is constantly changing. It is important for me to observe myself and my surroundings, as well as to wonder at what is around me - people, nature, various objects, their content and form.
I work extensively in various artistic disciplines (painting, printmaking, sculpture, assemblage, collage, installation, photography) and I am constantly exhibiting my work both in galleries and in various unexpected spaces (shops, parks, hotels, etc.).
I am a regular participant of international environmental art exhibitions, cultural events, art festivals and plein air workshops.
I regularly participate in international projects and exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad (Bulgaria, Poland, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, UAE).
My works have been acquired by private collectors in Lithuania, Poland, Japan, Germany and the Czech Republic.
I do not only creative but also pedagogical work. I have 26 years of experience working with groups of children of different ages. I also organize various educational events for preschool children and adults.
My work is characterized by the search for and development of various ways and forms of artistic expression. I like to combine and use different materials and tools in my work. In this way, alongside non-standard sheets of paper, canvas formats, various types of paints, tools used in people's everyday life appear, like textile, construction and medical materials. I use these tools to find a purposeful balance between the content and form of the work.
My main source of inspiration is the ever-changing relationship between nature and man, the creative search for the materiality of the work, the development of the theme (landscapes, abstractions, travel impressions, cycles of human figure).
